So, I’ve always wanted to write a novel. It’s not something I’ve wanted to pursue as a career path, but it is something I’ve wanted to do since I was a little kid. To that end, I downloaded the free trial of Scrivener. For those of you who don’t know, Scrivener is a program for writing, well, anything. It lets you break down your writing into pieces, of whatever size you want, and then it’ll compile them all into a single document based on the order you arrange them in and format you specify. It allows for research to be placed within reach while writing, switching between your writing and your text, video, audio, image that you have tucked away to help you write, or you can view it side by side while writing. It has a plethora of customizable features and organization mechanisms that you can tweak or ignore so you can write however works best for you. Check it out here.
I’ve already been writing an outline for the story I want to write, but it’s been some time since I’ve worked on it. I dusted it off, and was able to easily import it into Scrivener. I’m super excited to finally get going on it, and if I like this Scrivener by the time the trial ends, and I have so far, I’ll probably buy it.
Other than getting a jump on my writing, things have been pretty uneventful. My 3D printer broke, it shook itself into pieces. It’s an easy fix, however, so that’s not so bad. It has delayed my printing of Christmas gifts though.
I went shopping for ingredients for Tim’s Pie-Palooza! Every year, I invite some friends over and we bake pie for Thanksgiving, usually going long into the next morning. We bake apple and pumpkin, all from scratch. My pie is famous to those who’ve had it, and every year people get excited for it.
That’s basically it, no big happenings these past few days. This week will bring some busy work before Thanksgiving, but other than that it’ll be pretty quiet. Until next time!
